Street signs (señales de tráfico)

I used to think I was the strangest person in the world but then I thought there are so many people in the world, there must be someone just like me who feels bizarre and flawed in the same ways I do. I would imagine her, and imagine that she must be out there thinking of me too. Well, I hope that if you are out there and read this and know that, yes, it’s true I’m here, and I’m just as strange as you.

Today’s post as well as the posts for the next two days will be mostly photos, as friends have wanted to see more of San Miguel. There is a great deal of patina in San Miguel, wonderful doors, tremendous colors, street vendors, food stalls and the like. As you might guess, because travel blogs and sites capture that type of image so plentifully and successfully, those images escape my camera.

El Centro has some elegant street signs. In Sta. Julia, Olimpo and Linda Vista, the signs are less elegant.
