If the following news seems familiar, it’s because I swapped some of yesterday’s post with today’s. I found some material more appropriate to yesterday’s news and post and I brought some material from yesterday’s into today’s.


It’s dripping.  Can’t actually say it’s raining.

According to a friend. city authorities have banned the mariachi bands from playing in restaurants around the Jardin.

Someone else told me that the Pocket Theater, the spot where you could watch a bootleg movie on a big screen AND get a drink (alcoholic or not) AND popcorn for the price of admission, has been shuttered due to copyright issues. I haven’t heard whether Cine Bacco has suffered a similar fate, although both theaters’ calendars haven’t been updated.


There’s also talk about bringing the airport (which has been closed) up to Mexican federal aviation standards and reopening it.


A few weeks ago Paul Lucas, the author of Trans Scripts was vacationing in San Miguel and he asked if he could interview me as part of his current project, which somewhat parallels the stage play.

People have asked whether I’ve seen The Danish Girl, which I haven’t:  it’s been said that if an Oscar nomination is desired, one only need portray a transgender person or a person with a mental or physical disability.
